Telegram Troubleshooting
Frequently asked questions
I linked my account but I'm not receiving alerts
First, send /test to the bot and check whether the test message arrives. If the test arrives but real alerts don't: (1) check that your Alert Intel alerts have the 'Telegram' delivery option enabled (Edit alert → Delivery → enable Telegram DM), (2) verify the alert conditions are actually triggering — use /alerts to check the 'Last triggered' timestamp. If the test message doesn't arrive: the link may have expired. Unlink (Profile → Notifications → Telegram → Disconnect) and re-link using the /start flow.
The bot stopped responding to commands
If the bot stops responding, it has likely been blocked or the bot service is temporarily down. (1) Check whether you blocked the bot in Telegram settings → Privacy → Blocked users. (2) Try sending /start again. (3) Check @HanzoAI on Twitter/X for bot service status announcements.
I'm receiving alerts but the format looks wrong — missing data
Alert format depends on the conditions configured in your Alert Intel alert. If a condition source is temporarily unavailable (e.g., Volume IIS data gap for a specific pair), that condition is omitted from the message. This is intentional — partial data is labeled as such rather than sending a misleading full report.
Can I send Hanzo alerts to a Telegram group or channel?
Currently, alert delivery is exclusively to personal DMs (the chat between you and the bot). Channel and group delivery is on the feature roadmap but not yet available. The affiliate Marketing Bot is the exception — it delivers to a Telegram channel, but that is for marketing content, not personal trading alerts.
Can I configure different alerts to go to different chats?
Not in the current version — all alerts go to the single linked chat. Multiple delivery endpoint support (e.g., personal DM + a private group) is planned for a future release. For now, the single Telegram DM is the alert delivery destination.
