The Community Dojo

The Community Dojo is Hanzo AI's social study layer — a structured community where users share strategies, review each other's work, compete in weekly simulated battles, and climb a defined ranking system. Every shared strategy must include backtesting data with its assumptions and limitations.

The Dojo is deliberately gamified: ranks advance when you earn XP, XP comes from completing Missions, and Missions are structured around platform activities such as journaling, backtesting, AI Coach sessions, and community reviews. Rankings reflect platform activity and peer review, not trading skill or financial results.

XP is earned through: completing Missions (+5–50 XP per mission), having a strategy rated highly in the Strategy Hub (+10–25 XP per rating), winning or placing in the Weekly Battle (+100–500 XP), logging journal entries (+3 XP each), and using the AI Coach (+2 XP per session with substantive feedback recorded).

Strategy Hub

The Strategy Hub is a curated library of community-submitted trading strategies. Every strategy must include a backtesting report generated by Hanzo's Strategy Builder — anonymous performance claims without evidence are not accepted. This creates a library of independently verifiable strategies rather than unsubstantiated trading advice.

  1. Build and backtest your strategy in Strategy Builder

Your strategy must be built in Hanzo's Strategy Builder and include a backtest result with sample size, recorded outcomes, expectancy (R), peak-to-trough change, and Sharpe ratio. No Pine Script-only submissions — the strategy must be reproducible in the Builder.

  2. Write a clear strategy description

Include: the pairs and timeframes the strategy is designed for, the market condition where it performs best (trending, ranging, kill zone specific), entry rules (in plain English), and 1–2 chart examples from the backtest showing typical entries.

  3. Tag your strategy with the relevant engines

Select which Hanzo engines the strategy uses: Kill Zone, Wyckoff, Volume, Pattern, ICT/SMC. Community members searching for specific methodology strategies filter by these tags.

  4. Submit for review

Strategies go through a 48-hour peer review period where community members with Chunin rank or above can rate and comment. Strategies with an average rating below 3/5 are returned to the author with feedback before being published to the main feed.

  5. Respond to community feedback

After publication, community members can comment with observations from their own live testing. Responding to feedback (both positive and critical) earns additional XP and improves your Dojo reputation.

Weekly Strategy Battle

Every week, the platform runs a simulated paper-trading competition between submitted strategies. Each strategy runs in Phantom Desk using reference prices for 7 days. The results are tracked in the Battle leaderboard, and the community votes on the overall winner using simulated records and strategy quality.

Breakout BattleBreakout/momentum strategiesP&L % over 7 days, max drawdown, consistency (equity curve smoothness)
Reversal RumbleMean-reversion/reversal strategiesP&L % over 7 days, win rate on reversal signals, max adverse excursion

Leaderboards

Leaderboards rank community members across 5 categories, updated daily:

  • Phantom Desk P&L — top traders by monthly percentage return in paper trading (not real money)
  • Streak Masters — longest consecutive daily active sessions on the platform
  • Review Champions — most peer strategy reviews given (quality-weighted, not volume-weighted)
  • Mission Completers — most Missions completed in the current month
  • XP Leaders — total all-time XP (equivalent to the Dojo rank ladder)

Leaderboard positions reset monthly (P&L and Mission categories) or accumulate all-time (XP, Streak). Leaderboard entries link to your public profile, encouraging quality strategy sharing and community participation.

Missions & Achievements

Missions are structured challenges that guide you through platform features while building trading skills. They are grouped into tracks:

Mission trackExample missionsXP range
Builder TrackCreate and backtest 5 strategies with 30+ trades each20–100 XP
Analyst TrackComplete 20 AI Chart Analysis sessions and log insights15–75 XP
Discipline TrackComplete 30 consecutive days without violating a pre-trade validator rule50–200 XP
Community TrackSubmit 3 strategies to Strategy Hub with average rating > 4.025–150 XP
Intelligence TrackUse Wyckoff Gate on 10 different pairs and log observations20–80 XP

Achievements are permanent badges earned for milestone completions: first trade logged, first strategy published, first kill zone trade, first week of consistent daily journaling. Achievements are displayed on your public Dojo profile and contribute to your community reputation.

Community Guidelines

  • All shared strategies must include real backtest data from Hanzo's Strategy Builder — no fabricated results
  • Financial results claims must be clearly labeled as simulated (Phantom Desk) or explicitly stated as live results
  • No self-promotion of external services, paid groups, or competitor platforms
  • No disclosure of another user's personal trading results without their consent
  • Feedback on strategies must be constructive and evidence-based — citing specific data from the backtest or your own testing
  • Affiliate links are permitted only in user profiles, not within strategy descriptions or community posts

Frequently asked questions

How do I find strategies relevant to my trading style?

Use the Strategy Hub's filter panel to search by engine tags (Kill Zone, Wyckoff, Volume, etc.), pair type (Forex Majors, Metals, Indices), timeframe (scalping 5m–15m, intraday 1H–4H, swing Daily+), sample size, and recorded risk metrics. Saved filters let you return to your preferred search configuration on each visit.

Can I duplicate another user's strategy into my own Strategy Builder?

Yes. Every published strategy in the Strategy Hub has a 'Duplicate to Builder' button. This copies the strategy's exact rules into your own Strategy Builder workspace where you can modify it, run your own backtest, and optionally publish a modified version with attribution to the original.

How are the Weekly Battle results verified?

The Weekly Battle runs on live Phantom Desk infrastructure — trades are placed on real prices through the same simulator every user has access to. All entry/exit timestamps and prices are logged automatically, and the full trade log for each strategy is publicly visible during and after the Battle week. There is no way to manually adjust results.

What is the difference between Phantom Desk P&L and actual trading performance?

Phantom Desk is a simulation using reference prices and simulated execution. Its records can differ materially from external trading because of spread, slippage, latency, liquidity, and user decisions. Leaderboard rankings are labeled 'Simulated Results' and do not establish live performance.
